Get it right

This quotation and itinerary is a starting point. We enjoy this stage, spending time with teachers to make changes and ensure each school group gets the best itinerary at a suitable package price.

 

Confirm the trip

To confirm your trip a non-refundable deposit (normally 15% of the package price) is required. Once we have secured the main components of your trip with our suppliers we will send you a confirmation invoice. This will include a remaining payments schedule as agreed with you. Note: international flights are generally only available to be booked 11 months prior to travel.

 

Price Guarantee

We know how difficult it is for teachers to ask parents for more money. Once we have issued a confirmation invoice the price will never change as long as the itinerary does not change and the numbers of travellers remain the same. So the price of the tour will not increase if flights and/or taxes increase or exchange rate changes. Another reason why EA School Tours makes teachers' lives easier!

Head to TeamLAB Planets, an immersive digital art museum where you walk through water, and a garden where you become one with the flowers. Spend the afternoon mesmerized by the interactive light installations and breathtaking digital art. The artworks change under the presence of people, blurring the perception of boundaries between the self and the works. This 10,000squaremeter space uses 520 computers and 470 projectors to create an experience that will stimulate student’s all five senses.

Other people also create change in the artworks, blurring the boundaries between themselves and the works, and creating a continuity between the self, the art, and others.

Visit the Ikebukuro Earthquake Museum or to give it its official title the 'Life Safety Learning Centre', where you can learn about earthquakes, their impact, and the measures taken in Japan to mitigate their effects. Explore the interactive displays and educational exhibits. Where you will experience an earthquake simulation, and learn how Japan has engineered it’s buildings to manage the ever-present risks of a quake.

Start your day at the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation, also known as Miraikan. Discover fascinating exhibits on robotics, space exploration, and emerging technologies.

The Miraikan is a place to understand the things happening in our world today from a scientific point of view, and have discussions on the future that awaits us.

You’ll explore how artificial intelligence(AI) and the internet of things will affect various societal issues, from the ageing population to increases in inequality. There are also areas featuring robot exhibitions, hands-on computer programming experiences, and virtual reality.

Take a trip to Tsukuba Science Park, known for its research institutes and expo center. Visit some of the research institutes and explore their exhibitions showcasing cutting-edge scientific breakthroughs.

Originally the site for the 1985 World Expo, it’s now a science city that’s the country’s technological nerve centre, home to more than 30 leading Japanese research institutes. Our first visit is to the Tsukuba Expo Centre. It is a science museum where the world's largest planetarium is located, where science technology can be seen, touched, and enjoyed.

Explore the Cyberdyne Studio, where you can witness advancements in robotics, a guided tour reveals how robotic technology will aid various industries, in particular medical rehabilitation. The tour includes a demonstration of the robotic exoskeleton 5 technology, designed to assist individuals with mobility challenges and a chance to don a robot suit.

Visit the Japanese Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Space Research Facility, which features world class equipment and testing facilities for the country’s aerospace development program. Take a guided tour to learn about Japan's space program, space missions, and the latest discoveries in space exploration.

The Chiba Institute of Technology (CIT) Sky Tree Campus, is a Space for Futuristic Experience based on the Forefront of Science and Technology being developed at the CIT.

There are 2 exhibition areas available to visit. The first exhibition presents the research findings of CIT’s Future Robotics Technology Center (fuRo) and Planetary Exploration Research Center (PERC). Other displays present CIT’s science and technology including sensing technology that projects images using paper cards.

With its modern facilities and state-of-the-art laboratories, the campus is open to the public as an experiential action zone which fosters a dynamic learning environment for students pursuing various disciplines in engineering, robotics, computer science, and more.

Inspired by the iconic Tokyo Skytree, the campus's architecture reflects innovation and ambition, symbolizing the institution's commitment to pushing the boundaries of knowledge and preparing the next generation of skilled professionals to excel in the rapidly evolving technological landscape.

Spend the rest of the day exploring other attractions in Tokyo, such as visiting popular neighborhoods like Akiharbara, Shibuya or Shinjuku, or exploring cultural landmarks like the Meiji Shrine or the Imperial Palace(Please note that we would be not visiting all of the landmarks in the one afternoon, but judge on the weather and class preference (possibly even split into two groups).
