There is no obligation to travel, this step just allows us to make all necessary enquiries and work with our suppliers on organising initial details for your group while you advertise the trip to your school and collect deposits.
Get it right
This quotation and itinerary is a starting point. We enjoy this stage, spending time with teachers to make changes and ensure each school group gets the best itinerary at a suitable package price.
Confirm the trip
To confirm your trip a non-refundable deposit (normally 15% of the package price) is required. Once we have secured the main components of your trip with our suppliers we will send you a confirmation invoice. This will include a remaining payments schedule as agreed with you. Note: international flights are generally only available to be booked 11 months prior to travel.
Price guarantee
We know how difficult it is for teachers to ask parents for more money. Once we have issued a confirmation invoice the price will never change as long as the itinerary does not change and the numbers of travellers remain the same. So the price of the tour will not increase if flights and/or taxes increase or exchange rate changes. Another reason why EA School Tours makes teachers' lives easier!
Depart your nearest international airport and fly to the capital of Texas- Houston. Once in Houston, you will meet your bus and transfer to your hotel and enjoy a pizza party at the hotel and relax after a long day of travel!
After breakfast, you will head over to Artist Boat for a day in the water and some field science. Enjoy a guided and interpretive eco-art kayak adventure, paddling to places of natural significance on Galveston Bay. Artist Boat is a non-profit organisation dedicated to promoting awareness and preservation of coastal margins and the marine environment through the disciplines of the sciences and the arts. Artist Boat offers exciting field lab opportunities to student groups by vessel, kayak, and foot to places of natural significance on Galveston Bay. Students participate in hands-on and feet-in instruction via outdoor and experiential learning to interact and learn about estuarine ecology, plain-air water colouring, water quality testing, paddling and safety instruction, and collection of data. While exploring Galveston Bay’s tranquil habitats, students make their own watercolour paintings to reflect creatively the immense beauty, wonder and diversity of life contained in coastal margins of Texas. You’ll spend 4-5 hours gathering data and conducting field experiments, learning all about the unique eco-system in southern Texas. In the afternoon you will have some free time along the pier.
Spend five days attending the Space U camp at NASA’s Johnston Space Center. Immersing students in authentic stem learning opportunities tied to NASA missions. Space Center U offers a high level of STEM topics that are applied to real-world and space-related experiences. Your students will discover areas such as robotics, rocketry, thermal protection systems and space habitats.
Participants will be inspired as they engineer solutions to space related challenges, collaborate to find solutions and go behind-the-scenes at NASA Johnson Space Center and the Neutral Buoyancy Laboratory, the world’s largest underwater training facility. The program culminates with a graduation ceremony celebrating the students’ accomplishments and an exclusive brunch with an Astronaut.

Tonight you’ll have the opportunity to see a real-life NBA game! Soak up the atmosphere at one of Americas most loved sports. Basketball has been a much loved sport for over 60 years in America and has had some extremely entertaining players, such as the Harlem Globe Trotters and Chicago Bulls’ Michael Jordan. Make sure to catch the half-time show! (Subject to availability)
A visit to the Expedition Center is a learning experience that engages students, transforming them into scientists, engineers or researchers on a simulated space expedition. It expands a classroom to distant planets; it turns learning into inspiration and students into explorers.
At the Expedition Center, students will get to focus on skills far beyond space science. At the Expedition Center they use the excitement of space travel as a foundation for interdisciplinary tasks and life skills that can turn a moment of success into a lifetime of difference. Special characteristics of the trip are participants acting as astronauts and mission control specialists, landing on the moon and on Mars.
After breakfast, pack your bags. In the afternoon, you’ll have time for a quick bit of shopping for loved ones, before you transfer to the airport to catch your flight home.
