Ever dreamed of being an astronaut? Have you wondered what it takes to travel and live on Mars? Do you want to engineer your own robotic rover and launch a rocket?
Come behind the scenes with Space Center U®, the ultimate educational experience, and get a taste of space exploration! Space Center U is a challenging 5 day program. The program promotes teamwork, problem solving, communication and engineering solutions to space related situations. It is designed to develop and improve critical thinking skills, fiscal responsibility, creativity and the drive to be successful.
Immersing students in authentic learning opportunities tied to NASA missions, Space Center U offers a high level of STEM topics applied to real world and space related experiences.
Space Center University students will discover areas such as robotics, rocketry, thermal protection systems and space habitats. Participants will be inspired as they engineer solutions to space related challenges, collaborate to find solutions and go behind-the-scenes at NASA Johnson Space Center. The program culminates with a graduation ceremony celebrating the students’ accomplishments and a virtual astronaut presentation with Q&A.

A visit to the Expedition Center is a learning experience that engages students, transforming them into scientists, engineers or researchers on a simulated space expedition. It expands a classroom to distant planets; it turns learning into inspiration and students into explorers.
At the Expedition Center, they focus on skills far beyond space science – they use the excitement of space travel as a foundation for interdisciplinary tasks and life skills that can turn a moment of success into a lifetime of difference.
You'll take part in the two hour Full Expedition where students act as astronauts and Mission Control specialists, landing on the Moon and on Mars.
Kennedy Space Center is an educational center that allows students to explore and tour NASA areas and interact with shows and exhibits. View ten-story high rockets from all eras of space exploration in the Rocket Garden, walk through a full-size space shuttle mock-up, see 3D-IMAX space films on gigantic five-story screens, and see an actual Gemini program capsule on display. Some recent additions to the Center now include the Space Shuttle Atlantis and The Hubble Telescope exhibit. The amazing exhibits and inspiring shows will immerse students into the past, present and future of the NASA space program. Students will also get a behind the scenes glimpse of Kennedy Space Centre on a NASA Bus Tour to the LC-39 Observation Gantry and the Apollo/Saturn V Centre!
You have a day to explore the two different parks at Universal: Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. You can also explore Harry Potter’s Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade and take the Hogwart’s Express between the two!
Head out to Crystal River where you will have an experience of a lifetime swimming with Manatees. You will begin at the full-service tour facility, where you will be educated about the animals in a classroom type setting. You will then be suited up and transported to the dock, where you will submerge yourself into the manatee’s world and where you will be surrounded by birds, fish and wildlife abound! They might seem big but Manatees are gentle giants and you will be safe during the whole experience which is led by a Coast Guard Certified Master Captain who will be your in water chaperone and educator.

And explore WonderWorks which is an amusement park for the mind full of “edu-tainment”. The attraction combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands on exhibits that challenge the mind and spark the imagination. Set in a funky upside down building Wonderworks is made up of six ‘wonder zones’, natural disasters, space discovery, physical challenge zone, imagination lab, far out art gallery and light and sound zone.
I-fly is an indoor windtunnel. You'll have a workshop with a physics professor learning about the physics of freefall. You'll then get to test your new knowledge in the wind tunnel!
